You Can Never Know it All

There is a whole other world involved in the creation of our favorite television programs that many never really get to see. That of the assistant director is definitely part of that world.

Last week, I had the pleasure to speak with former Gilmore Girls AD Mindee Forman. Her reminiscences are a great example of why it is virtually impossible to know everything about that series, simply because every single person involved saw something different.

It’s not a Rashomon deal where everyone sees the same thing differently. Rather, every individual saw a different aspect of how Gilmore Girls all came together based on their role in making everything happen.

Thanks go to Mindee for revealing previously unknown aspects of the Yale scenes, and how the cast was coordinated on set. Though she was only on the show for a brief period of time, her recollections are an excellent snapshot of how several fan-favorite episodes came to be.

I loved this show! And I love that Mindee was a part of it. When will there be a reunion show I wonder? 🙂

Thank you for the feedback, Erin. I think you’re asking the same question everyone has been for the last 2 years. I just saw a button the other day that says “I support Gilmore Girls Season 8.”
